SCHEDULETICKETSTOP

Every year, the Reno Film Festival’s Indie Short Film Competition draws entries from across the U.S. and around the world. All films submitted for competition must be no longer than 40 minutes; otherwise, the filmmakers’ creativity, imagination, and heart are the only limits. Some 148 submissions were eligible for competition this year and, as usual, they are an eclectic group representing entries from the United States, Germany, France, the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Australia, South Korea, Taiwan, Serbia/Montenegro and Syria/Arab Republic.

This year there were five categories: Animation, Comedy, Drama/Fiction, Documentary and Nevada; the last category is open to films shot and/or set in Nevada or made by a Nevada filmmaker. Winners were selected by festival-goers for this year’s competition being as the winner in each category was determined by a vote of the audience at the screenings.
